MidtermsMidtermsMidterms
My brain is officially consumed by the hell that is midterms. It's almost literally *all I can think about*. I fell half asleep on the couch, the brand of half asleep where you hear things and think about them but you're so tired that everything ends up all jumbled. Anyways, my mother was trying to convince William to wash his hands.
My train of thought:
"isn't there some sort of automatic WashHands() function in c++? I shouldve paid more attention in IT last year... agh! Is there a WashHands() function? Am I just making this up? No no... I swear you could pass a reference to William to Wash Hands (WashHands(&William);), and the function would sort through all the People, find William, and wash his hands. Gee, the STL library is great."
Then as I tried to implement it I woke up. Boourns.

My Crazy Dream
OK so... for those who haven't heard about it yet I had a cr@zy ass dream last night. It involved a pile of ppl from class and a few other friends hangin out in the building Courtney used to live in (ie. Dean and Dale's current residence). Then Shane (surger1) was posessed by a witch and tried to kill us all. The only way to stop him and de-posess him was to hack off his face. Soooo... we did. Shane was back to normal, albeit without a face. Then we realized that if we got caught having chopped off Shane's face, we'd all go to jail, so someone came up with the bright idea of burying him in Dean's neighbor's (Courtney's ex-neighbor's) front yard. Then we were all sad cuz we killed Shane.
Fin.
Yeah, freaky. Uberfreaky.
Notes on my last post:
- I reserve the right to whine on my blog.
- It said no reasoning or rationalizing. Again, my blog, my whine, my rules.
- I have a job because I searched for a job. My job generally occupies 8 hours each weekend. Occasionally I get a weekend off, but that means that I had to work both days either the weekend before or after. That means that sometimes I can't go out at all on the weekends, which is sucky, cuz I dont get out much if at all during the week due to homework/weightlifting/babysitting my little brother. Which is fine. But again, I reserve the right to whine about it in this, my blog.
- Not having a car isn't a big deal. I mean, sometimes it's a big deal, because if I can't get a ride to school Mom has to make alternate arrangements so that I can have a car, and that usually makes it harder for her to get her work done, which is not good since she's a single mom and thus the one paying the bills. For the most part it's fine, I was just really disappointed because I was looking forward to a stellar weekend that turned out to be completely lackluster through no fault of my own (it was crappy due to weather, poor maintainance record on the car, the superbowl, and superstore losing power)
- I dislike situations that are out of my control.
:) S'all folks!

The World Caved In
Today has been crap crap crap crap.
I had to work all day, and it was busy, which sucked, except that I was excited because as soon as I got off work I was going into London to hang out with some people.
As I was leaving work it was snowing. Crap. The chances mom was going to let me drive in the snow were slim.
I get home and mom isn't even back from the dealership yet. Crap, crap, crap. Call the cell, no answer. Call Aunt Deb's where Willy is, mom called and said she hadn't left the saturn dealership and she'd be a while beause the weather was bad. Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap.
I call mom. She checked out the maintainance report on the car and apparently there were some things that didnt look good, so we're going to keep looking ie. start over from scratch. Also, the roads are nasty and she doesn't want me going to London.
The especially crappy thing is that I left a book in my locker which I'm going to need. So if the weather is clear before work (eeew...) tomorrow, I can go pick up my book. If not I'm fucked.
SO my weekend, which was shaping up to be pretty good aside from the two, 8 hour shifts I am scheduled for, is now looking exceedingly bleak. I have to work from 12:30 to 9 tomorrow... Superbowl Sunday --> Busy busy busy. No party, no car, busy lateish shift tomorrow, homework I may or may not be able to finish.
I am grouchy. I am not in a mood to listen to reason. If you don't have something sympathetic or completely unrelated and not in the least (even remotely) antagonizing to say, don't try to talk to me, because I'll probably snap at and/or make fun of and/or murder you (in your sleep with a baseball bat).

My Soon-To-Be Car (unless the world caves in/explodes/mom changes her mind)
Tomorrow while I'm at work mom will (hopefully) be signing the papers for my car!
Wanna See? ...of course, that's not *actually* it, but its the same year/model/color. Mine has a stickshift and currently resides in London.
I am excited. Mega excited. Now hopefully the world doesn't cave in like the last time I got all excited about le car.
Java aka. Losing Concepts in Hugely Complicated and Boring Metaphors 101
The Java prof is ranting about ppls shoe size. Why? I dont know. It makes no sense. Well actually, I shouldn't say that, it might make sense if I was paying attention. Unfortunately, the people I'm sitting around are just too damn entertaining.

My legs, they are like Jello.
I went to the gym today. I'm trying to lift regularly again, 'cuz I've been a lazy bastard recently.
Exposition: I'm an Olympic-Style weightlifter. Have been since I was 13. Not so much recently though, mostly due to time constraints.
ANYWAYS.
Today:
- Went to school. C++, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
- Came home. Went to the gym.
- Worked out... lots.
- Came home, ate, then picked up some pants I got hemmed. Yaaaaaay pants. I like pants.
- Bought a new book! By one of my all-time favourite authors, Robin Hobb. She really is amazing, pick up Assassin's Apprentice if you ever get the chance. She wrote a trilogy of trilogies all set in the world of the Farseers and the plot lines are just amazing. It's fantasy of course, but all very well described/explained. The characters are realistic, detailed, and grow as the stories progress. Did I mention the plot? It's intricate and seems a little sketchy at first, but in the end everything comes together beautifully. Have I mentioned that Robin Hobb is amazing? Anyways, her latest book is called Shaman's Crossing, it's set in a whole new world, and I'm totally excited to read it.
On tap for tomorrow: More school (early day.... booourns), Games club or probably Simcity and hangin out (and eating, and reading), then sleep and maybe more laundry. Woooooooooooooooooooooo.
I AM A BANANA!
